My mom came to visit me in Indianapolis this weekend. After a morning of running all over the city I wanted to take her to a little restaurant in BroadRipple, but a place I had not been before. We chose Petite Chou on Westfield Boulevard. The outdoor dining with chandeliers and green fabric draping the enclosed dining area was the perfect retreat. Enjoying a lavender infusion cocktail I realized this spot would be idela for a private dinner party. They offer a champagne bar, crepes, omelettes, and a full dinner menu as well. Petite Chou is part of the local Cafe Patachou restaurant brands in Indianapolis.

I have started going to the Binford Farmer’s Market recently. I love being able to find unique food items for entertaining. This week I bought a cherry chocolate muffin mix from Delicious Additions. They are located here in Indianapolis and offer a variety of muffin mixes and jellies. The muffins are perfect for Sunday brunch with the family.  One of my secrets to getting the right amount of batter into each paper cup is to use a greased 1/8 cup as a scooper. This allows the batter to flow right out and makes for easy clean up to. Hope you are enjoying your Sunday! xoxo

Growing up I was fortunate to have a mother that read to us every night before we went to bed. This led me to be an avid reader at a young age. Each week we would go to the library and fill up our bags with as many books as we could read. I loved reading autobiographies, how-to books, mysteries, and stories about princesses. This opportunity opened a whole new world that I was otherwise unable to explore. It encouraged me to dream and learn about new ideas.

First Book is a national non-profit organization that provides new books to children in need addressing one of the most important factors affecting literacy – access to books. Please click here to support literacy in Indianapolis where you can make a donation as small as $10.  Every $2 you donate purchases a book for a child in need. Thank you for your generosity!
