This past weekend I visited a craft store, Flower Factory, that is going out of business here. I wanted to add some color to my home and love tulips. The bunches of tulips were very inexpensive so I purchased 6 of them. I already had 3 square glass containers at home that would be perfect vases from Target. It is important to keep in mind that more is better when getting a lush look.

I then measured the length of the stem to match the depth of the vase and cut all stems the same length. Then I placed a leaf inside the vase to see the length needed to cover inside wall and base. I proceeded to then cut all leaves the same length. Next, I used a glue gun to secure the leaves to the inside of each vase. Finally, I placed the flowers in each vase to give it a full, lush look. For these vases I used 12 tulips.

These little flower arrangement can be used anywhere whether at home on shelves or on cocktail tables at an event. I hope you enjoyed this project and leave a comment to let me know what your favorite flowers are.

My mom came to visit me in Indianapolis this weekend. After a morning of running all over the city I wanted to take her to a little restaurant in BroadRipple, but a place I had not been before. We chose Petite Chou on Westfield Boulevard. The outdoor dining with chandeliers and green fabric draping the enclosed dining area was the perfect retreat. Enjoying a lavender infusion cocktail I realized this spot would be idela for a private dinner party. They offer a champagne bar, crepes, omelettes, and a full dinner menu as well. Petite Chou is part of the local Cafe Patachou restaurant brands in Indianapolis.

One of my favorite bridesmaid gifts was Lavender Periwinkle body butter and soap from MOR Cosmetics. The product is rich and silky and lasts forever. Plus the packaging is so beautiful you almost don’t need to wrap it. They make excellent gifts for any occasion.

I have started going to the Binford Farmer’s Market recently. I love being able to find unique food items for entertaining. This week I bought a cherry chocolate muffin mix from Delicious Additions. They are located here in Indianapolis and offer a variety of muffin mixes and jellies. The muffins are perfect for Sunday brunch with the family.  One of my secrets to getting the right amount of batter into each paper cup is to use a greased 1/8 cup as a scooper. This allows the batter to flow right out and makes for easy clean up to. Hope you are enjoying your Sunday! xoxo

For Valentine’s Day this year I chose to start a card exchange for Royal Events by Melissa and also participate in an exchange by Ever So Lovely. Below is one of the designs I created. I will follow up in a couple weeks and showcase the designs of other participants. What is your favorite romantic movie or quote? I still love “Love & Basketball” and quoting Monica: “I’ve been in love with you since I was eleven, and it won’t go away.”
